Beautiful and evocative
handmade, limited edition screenprints

How screenprints are made

I discovered screenprinting during my Foundation diploma course at Putney School of Art and Design in 2017. I still print in the studios at Putney and teach screenprinting there during half terms. See link below for more information.

The screenprinting process involves creating stencils on nylon mesh screens and pulling thin layers of ink through the screen onto paper. You make a separate screen for each colour. My prints can involve multiple layers and take many hours to complete.

I tend to keep my print runs (editions) small, around 10-15 per print and, as each is handmade and can involve blends of colours, the colours vary slightly from print to print.
