It all started with a lockdown walk with Catherine, the chair of The Friends of Cannizaro Park, after a casual reply to a request for help on Instagram. That led to many more walks and discussions, culminating in two Arts Festivals in the park, a role as The Friends’ graphic designer and, most recently, a partnership on A Celebration of Trees in June 2024, where this print was first displayed in an exhibition at Cannizaro House. I have lost track of the times I’ve walked in this beautiful park, scouting out locations for events, introducing new people to its beauty and Secret Garden-like nature and sometimes just sitting and drawing! My friend Francesca Snelling spent a year as photographer in residence in Cannizaro and took the beautiful image I used as a basis for this print.
Printed by hand in London using water based inks on Fabriano 300gsm paper. All prints are signed and numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity.
My prints are handmade and colours will vary slightly from print to print, especially those with blended skies and paths.
